Jenny Gabrielson Mare: The black lodge (Single, 2013)

In February Jenny Gabrielsson Mare released her second solo album entitled “The Ritual” shaped by vaudeville, musicboxes, Hitchcock and Twin Peaks. And it is from David Lynch’s unforgettable TV series she drew inspiration for the second single from the album. The song is called “The Black Lodge” – a dark jazzy pop tune in which Jennys voice is accompanied by dampened guitars, dissonant piano, owls and glockenspiel.
“One night I had a dream I fell madly in love with Laura Palmer. And even though I knew I shouldn’t, even though I knew it was dangerous I could not keep myself from wanting to follow her into the dark woods of Twin Peaks…” (Press)
