En nuestro Juego de las Versiones, antigua sección algo olvidada, os presento hoy esta curiosa cover de Bob Dylan popularizada por George Harrison a cargo de Tashaki Miyaki, ese proyecto a medias entre el Dream-Pop y el Lo-Fi. Además de versionear en otra ocasión a los Everly Brothers, en esta ocasión se atreve con una de las canciones más conocidas de Harrison en solitario.

Tashaki Miyaki: Tashaki Miyaki (Ep, 2011)

Otro de los debuts de este año fue el del artista californiano Tashaki Miyaki, ese perpetrador de mezclas diversas -y perversas- como The Everly Brothers y The Jesus and Mary Chain. Todo cabe en la coctelera de Tashaki, siempre bajo el manto de distorsiones, como denominador común. Algunos temas ya eran conocidos y otros son más recientes. Puedes encontrarlo en su Bandcamp a precio de la década pasada. Por cierto, la diversión está asegurada.

Uno de nuestros más recientes descubrimientos ha sido la música de un personaje (¿o grupo?) que se hace llamar Tashaki Miyaki. Influenciado por toda la nueva ola de Pop en baja intensidad que nos ha invadido en los últimos tiempos, el sonido de Tashaki Miyaki tiene tanto de Jesus and Mary Chain como de Best Coast. Melodía impecable, voz femenina, y el inconfundible sabor del Pop sesentero hacen de este sencillo un buen preludio para algo bueno que sin duda está por venir.  Por cierto, que como tema de acompañamiento aparece una versión adaptada del All I have to do is dream.
